§ 02The Server

Server Rules

The rules as they stand since the September wipe: fair play, combat logging, groups and teaming, base building, raiding, the safezone and compensation — and which ones the server enforces itself.

On this page
  1. Conduct
  2. Fair play
  3. Combat logging
  4. Groups and teaming
  5. Base building
  6. Raiding
  7. The safezone
  8. Vehicles
  9. Compensation
  10. Support

These are the server rules, arranged so they can be searched. Where the game enforces a rule itself rather than leaving it to staff, the page says so — those are not judgement calls, and nobody needs to open a ticket about them.

Read them

Not knowing them doesn't protect you. Staff aim to be fair and may act at their discretion to protect the community and the gameplay. Rules are enforced by ticket — don't argue them in public chat.

This is a Solo / Duo / Trio server: maximum 3 per group.

Conduct#

  1. English only in public channels (LFG can vary).
  2. Banter is fine — no harassment, discrimination, hate speech or targeted toxicity, in Discord or in game.
  3. Don't DM, ping or impersonate staff. Use tickets.
  4. No personal information — yours or anyone else's.
  5. No NSFW content: names, pictures, messages or links.
  6. Zero tolerance for threats — DDoS, doxxing, death threats, encouraging self-harm — and it is a permanent ban.
  7. No spam, ping abuse, flooding or disruptive behaviour.
  8. No advertising, invites or external links without permission.
  9. Don't accuse people of cheating in public chats, and don't discuss active ticket information there.
  10. Don't argue bans, cheaters or staff conduct in public channels. Open a ticket.

Fair play#

Instant, no discussion:

  • duping, hacking, scripts, macros
  • exploits, glitching or bug abuse — "vortexing" included
  • movement exploits such as moonwalking or ice sliding
  • alt accounts — one account per person — and ban evasion
  • team killing for kill tasks

Found a bug? Report it in a ticket. Using it is a ban.

Stream sniping content creators is forbidden and handled case by case.

Players may be removed or denied access for BattlEye bans or a confirmed cheating history on DayZ, including linked or evading accounts. Access is at staff discretion where competitive integrity is at stake.

Combat logging#

  • No logging out for 5 min after you or your group deal or take damage.
  • If you crash or disconnect, rejoin immediately.
  • No-relog zone: The Lab. Logging out inside it is always combat logging, whether or not you have taken damage.
  • Logging off while defending an active raid is a minimum 3-day ban and you forfeit the raid loot. If you have to leave, use F11. Raiders are held to the same standard.

The server enforces this one

Logging out doesn't remove you from the world. Your body stays standing — 30 s after any logout, 5 min if you've been in a fight, 20 min if you're in a raid — and it can be killed and looted the whole time. Alt+F4 doesn't shorten it. Inside 300 m of the Lab you cannot log out to escape a fight at all. Death, logout and combat logging.

Groups and teaming#

Max 3 per group — online and offline combined. No rotations, permanent swaps only, and a player who leaves your group cannot rejoin later. The group system will not let a group grow past 3. Groups.

Alliancing or teaming with another group is forbidden. That includes paying for services — transporting people who aren't in your group, supplying C4 for someone else to raid on your behalf, paying for raid protection.

Face-to-face trading with anyone outside your group must happen at a trader. Meeting a stranger in the field to hand over gear is teaming. Fence, the Lightkeeper and Mechanic are out on the map with no protection; trading there is allowed, and surviving the trip is your problem. The player market is always fine, including from a terminal in your own base — it's anonymous, which is the point. Player market.

Base building#

Most of the old base rules are gone, because the game enforces them now: nothing floats, nothing goes above 25 m, walls can't be stacked, every wall can be breached, and ladder hatches can't be built. There is no door, gate, window or floor limit, and no limit on how many bases you hold. Building.

One rule governs base design: once a raider is through your defences, they must be able to fight back and reach everything inside. Locked doors are fine — that's what raiding is for. What isn't fine is a design that makes fighting back impossible or leaves part of the base unreachable no matter what a raider breaks: one-way peeks, firing slots too tight to aim a rifle, forcing raiders to vault, crawl or climb to reach the loot, barbed wire placed to block a raid path or stop looting, permanently sealed rooms, entrances blocked with vehicles or storage.

Beyond that, three rules:

  1. Don't build on top of event spawns, lootable containers or static structures (police, military, medical). It denies other players content.
  2. Don't design a base to camp or control an extract or a spawn point.
  3. One sleeping bag per player.

Unusual cases are staff judgement. If something is obviously taking the piss, staff will still call it — and if you're unsure, ask in a ticket before you build it.

Raiding#

  • Raids are loud. Everyone nearby hears them and can tell roughly where from.
  • No building during a raid. For 20 minutes from the last hit on a raidable object, nothing within 40 m can be built, upgraded, repaired, rotated or fitted with a code lock — and every fresh hit restarts the clock. The server enforces this for attacker and defender alike. Traps are allowed during the lockdown: mines, bear traps, claymores, tripwires. Raiding.
  • Soft-side and dismantle raiding are allowed as long as no glitch or exploit is involved.
  • Base takeovers. A base you raided can be claimed and kept. If you only want the loot, seal it no longer than it takes to move the loot out, then leave it open.
  • If you accidentally bug into a base: relog immediately and open a ticket.
  • Bases decay. Keep the territory generator fuelled and nothing rots; let it run dry and the base falls. An abandoned base falling down is intended. Territory and upkeep.

The safezone#

  • No mic spam — music, screaming, constant noise.
  • You cannot live here. After 30 min you get a warning, then food, water and health start draining, worse the longer you stay. Leaving lets it recover, but it decays rather than resets. The safezone.
  • Trading, swapping and gambling are at your own risk. Lost or stolen items are never compensated.

Vehicles#

Driving and flying is at your own risk. No helicopter ramming. No blocking extracts.

Compensation#

Video or clip evidence is required, showing the items claimed and the full event before, during and after the loss.

No compensation, ever, for:

  • player-market losses
  • items dropped on the safezone floor — the hub deletes them after 2 min, with no warning
  • vehicles left in the safezone too long — they're removed after 2 h

Support#

Tickets can take up to 24 hours. Complaining about response time in public chat closes your ticket.
