A secure container is the one piece of your kit that comes back with you when you die. Whatever is inside it is never lost. Everything else you were wearing or carrying stays on your body.

Earning them#

Container How you get it
Alpha Free. Your first task is handed to you automatically and completes when you reach the safezone.

The rest come from the task chains:

ContainerHoldsTask that awards itTraderReputation needed
Epsilon4 × 2The Punisher - Part 6Prapor
Theta5 × 2Secure Container ThetaRef
Alpha2 × 2Secure ContainerArrival
Beta3 × 2Secure Container BetaPeacekeeper75,000
Kappa3 × 4CollectorKappa200,000

Bigger is the only difference that matters: a larger container holds more of the things you'd hate to lose. The Task Board shows each container's task in its chain.

How much each holds#

Alpha
2 × 2
4 slots
Beta
3 × 2
6 slots
Epsilon
4 × 2
8 slots
Theta
5 × 2
10 slots
Kappa
3 × 4
12 slots

The grids are read from the container mod in the current pack, so what is drawn here is what the game gives you.

What it refuses#

The container is the anti-exploit surface of the whole server, so some things can never go inside it, on purpose:

  • explosives and C4 (2)
  • grenades (2)
  • other secure containers and cases (10)
  • magazines (172)
  • car keys (1)

The reasoning: C4 that survived death could be carried through a raid indefinitely; a container inside a container is the classic nesting exploit; magazines in the pouch would make a death cost nothing but the gun. Carry your spare mags loaded.

Using it well#

  • Keys and keycards. A Lab card is used up on entry, so the one you're carrying is the only one that matters.
  • Cash, medals and GP coins.
  • Task items — the thing the task asked you to bring back.
  • The small, expensive things — LEDX, graphics cards, intel, the barter items that pay.

Anything you can't afford to lose and that fits belongs in it before you deploy, not after the first shot.
