Joining and the server#

Is this Tarkov? No — it's DayZ with Tarkov's loop, traders, containers, keycards and economy built on top. You need DayZ, not Escape from Tarkov. Start Here.

Is it first person only? Yes. How to join.

How do I skip the queue? Priority queue, from the store. It switches on in game by itself after checkout. Nothing in the store changes the game once you're in. Troubleshooting.

What are the keys? I to trade, O for tasks, hold J for extracts, numpad * for the flea market, and the rest on one page: Keys and controls.

Is there help in game? Type !help in chat for the player guide, !commands for every quick answer, and !rules for the rules screen. Chat commands.

When does the server restart? Every three hours on the hour, Central time. Restarts.

Dying and logging out#

What do I keep when I die? Whatever is in your secure container, plus everything that isn't gear: your level and loyalty, tasks, stash, base, skills. Death, logout and combat logging.

Why is my body still there after I logged out? Your body always stays for a while: 30 s normally, 5 min after combat, 20 min during a base raid. Death, logout and combat logging.

Secure containers#

Where do I get a secure container? Your first task hands you an Alpha: extract at any green X on your map, which brings you to the safezone. The bigger ones are task rewards. Secure containers.

What won't go in my container? Explosives, grenades and cases. Magazines and car keys are fine. Secure containers.

The hub and extracts#

How do I leave the safezone? The Land Cruiser and the customs gate at the entrance open the deploy screen. Deploy & extract.

Where are the extracts? Marked on your map as green crosses, names hidden, all free and always open. Smoke and a green light on the ground. Extracts.

How long does extracting take? 7 s standing in the zone. Damage doesn't cancel it. Extracts.

I dropped something in the safezone and it's gone. The hub deletes dropped items after 2 min, and there is no compensation for it. The safezone.

Groups, levels and money#

How big can my group be? 3 active players, online and offline, plus one reserve on your roster who can be swapped in. Groups.

How do I level up? Everything you do pays XP: tasks most of all, then kills, surviving a raid, looting, healing and crafting. It never drops on death. Levels & Loyalty.

Why can't I buy this item? It is on a higher loyalty level with that trader. Loyalty rises with your player level and your standing from his tasks. You can always sell. Levels & Loyalty.

What are GP coins? Ref's currency, earned from his dailies and weeklies. They don't turn up in loot and can't be bought. Market and currency.

Where is my money? Where did the ATMs go? Your money lives in your stash now; the safezone traders pay into it and charge from it. The stash.

When do dailies reset? At 6:00, Central time. Weeklies on Monday. Dailies and weeklies.

How do I make money while I'm offline? A Bitcoin farm in your base. Bitcoin farm.

Places, weather and loot#

Where is Mechanic? At his outpost in the north-east, and he gives his tasks himself. Fence is at Black Lake, the Lightkeeper at the lighthouse on the south-east coast. Traders.

How do I unlock the Lightkeeper? Finish four quest lines (The Punisher at Prapor, Chemical at Skier, The Cult at Peacekeeper, Database at Ragman), then Mechanic's eight-quest chain to the lighthouse. No level or reputation needed. Unlocking the Lightkeeper.

How do I get into the Lab? Buy the access card from Therapist and use it at the Lab's doors in the safezone; the card is used up. The Lab.

Where is the loot? Everywhere: Tarkov's searchable containers are the biggest source, and they refill. Loot and containers.

Does it rain? No, and there are no storms. Nights are dark but moonlit, every spawn carries a headtorch, and single-tube night vision is cheap. The world.

Where are the zombies? Since 28 October armed scavs fill the towns, farms and military areas instead. The world.

My kill task used to say infected. What counts now? Scavs: any armed AI, raiders and cultists included. The counts were lowered, and a kill task already running restarted from 0 once on 28 October. Kill tasks count scavs.

Can I hunt? Yes. Jaeger buys pelts and meat, and has a hunting questline. The world.

Bases#

How do I claim a base? Place a hideout generator (250,000 ₽ from Jaeger), keep it fuelled, and upgrade it as the base grows. Territory and upkeep.

Why did my base start decaying? The generator ran out of fuel, or there isn't one. Territory and upkeep.

How do I make C4? At the workbench, from gunpowder and a detonator. No explosive is sold. The workbench.

Can I shoot my way into a base? No. Bullets do nothing to base parts. Raiding.

Does my tent in the woods last? No. Storage outside a fuelled territory decays. Storage and decay.

Clips#

How do I get my clip on the channel? Press Submit a clip in Discord's #submit-a-clip and paste the link (Medal, YouTube, Twitch, Streamable and the like). The team watches every one; the best go up in #best-clips and on our YouTube, TikTok and Instagram with your name on them.

What's Clip of the Week? Every Monday the most-voted clip in #best-clips (react 🔥) wins a week of priority queue. The week's clips also become a montage on YouTube.

Getting help#

Something's broken. Who do I tell? Open a ticket in Discord. Replies can take up to 24 hours; using a bug instead of reporting it is a ban. Troubleshooting.
