The safezone, also called the hub, is the base of operations: a protected 500 m-radius area on the south coast where nobody can be hurt. Every hub trader is inside it, a few metres apart, with their task boards, the stash lockers, the flea market and the way out.

What's in it#

  • The traders: Prapor, Therapist, Skier, Peacekeeper, Ragman, Jaeger and Ref, all on one trade screen (press I), with their task boards beside them. Mechanic, Fence and the Lightkeeper are elsewhere on purpose; Traders says where.
  • Your stash, at the stash lockers or the STASH tab on the trade screen. It holds your money too, and the safezone traders pay into it and charge from it. The stash.
  • The flea market, for selling to other players without meeting them. Flea market.
  • The way out: the Land Cruiser and the customs gate by the entrance open the deploy screen, and the Lab's own doors take you into the Lab. Deploy & extract.

Trading with other players#

  • Trade face to face with players outside your group only here, not at the three trader outposts. The flea market is always fine.
  • Meeting a stranger in the field to hand over gear counts as teaming under the rules.
  • Stealing from or scamming someone in the hub breaks the rules; it is not gameplay here.

New characters start outside it#

A brand-new character spawns on the coast, not in the hub, and a welcome screen shows the rules and the Discord. Your first task is given to you automatically: extract at any green X on your map, which brings you to the safezone, and an Alpha secure container is waiting for you. Until then you're a normal spawn on a normal coast, so don't dawdle. After a death, the respawn screen lets you start in the safezone instead. Death and logout.

Staying in the hub#

There's no time limit: nothing drains you however long you stay. The hub is still a place to trade and plan, and the loot, the tasks and the money are all out on the map.

What it deletes#

  • Anything dropped on the floor is gone after 2 min. No warning, no compensation. Hand items to people directly, or list them on the flea market.
  • A vehicle left in the safezone is deleted after 2 h. Park it, do your business, take it with you.

Vehicles can't be damaged inside the zone, so a parked one is safe from other players for that window — just not from the clock.

Building near it#

The hub sits inside a no-build zone. Try to place a piece there and the game refuses; there's nothing to report. Building lists the other zones.
